A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where did you score your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
How expensive are they?
When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid just under $390, but their regular price get a glimpse of GGoose.org before you sign up is over $500.
These sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how embellished they are.
How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also be smart.

Do they fit as expected?
They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me. They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
